HAkA is involved in advocacy efforts to improve environmental policies, raise public awareness, and oppose inappropriate extractive development in the Leuser Ecosystem Area.
HAkA is strongly committed to advocacy, which aims to shape and improve environmental policies that protect the Leuser Ecosystem in Aceh Province. This involves engaging with policy makers, local leaders, communities, academics, other civil society and international bodies to create a strong framework that protects this unique landscape from extractive development agendas.
HAkA also works tirelessly to raise public awareness of the importance of the Leuser Ecosystem, highlighting the environmental, social and economic consequences of its degradation.
