The Visual Arts Workshop (Relief Printmaking) serves as a creative campaign space within Bu-Moe? Fest 2025, combining visual art with messages of environmental conservation. Centered on the theme… “Uteun Aceh Ken Lampoh Soh” which means “Aceh Forest is Not Empty Land”This activity invites participants to translate ecological issues into print artworks that are communicative, reflective, and grounded in the realities of everyday life. Through an artistic approach, the activity aims to foster an emotional connection between participants and issues concerning forest protection, wildlife, and environmental sustainability in Aceh.

Visual Art Workshop (Relief Printmaking) – Bu-Moe? Fest 2025

Throughout the activity, participants were introduced to the basic techniques of relief printmaking and encouraged to explore visual ideas stemming from a concern for environmental conditions. Each resulting artwork conveys a message about the importance of preserving forests, protecting key wildlife species within the Leuser Ecosystem Area, and fostering a harmonious relationship between humans and nature. By combining learning with creative practice, the activity served not only as a space for artistic expression but also as an educational platform that encouraged participants to engage with environmental issues in a more personal, contextual, and meaningful way.

Visual Art Workshop (Relief Printmaking) – Bu-Moe? Fest 2025

More than just an artistic activity, the relief printing workshop is designed as a form of sustainability campaign. The best designs resulting from the workshop will be developed into campaign merchandise—specifically T-shirts—available for public order. Fifteen percent of the sales proceeds will be allocated to purchasing tree seedlings, serving as a direct contribution to environmental conservation efforts. Thus, the workshop not only produces visual art but also fosters a tangible connection between art, public participation, and ecological action.
