  • Comments Off on The Birds of Aceh Book is Expected to Inspire Conservation and Ecotourism

Banda Aceh (Waspada Aceh) – The Birds of Aceh book was officially launched at Escape Bistro Café in Banda Aceh on Friday evening (September 12, 2025). Agus Nurza and Rubama’s work is expected to serve not only as visual documentation but also as a catalyst for the conservation of Aceh’s biodiversity.

The event, initiated by Aceh Birder in collaboration with the HAkA Foundation, was opened by the Head of the Aceh Communication, Informatics and Cryptography Service, Marwan Nusuf, representing the Governor of Aceh.

Marwan said that this book is a source of knowledge that can be used by students, researchers, the public, and the government in formulating policies for animal protection and spatial planning.

HAkA Foundation Secretary, Badrul Irfan, emphasized that the bird documentation in this book serves as a reminder of Aceh’s extraordinary biodiversity. “Hopefully, this work will open the eyes of more people to protect birds and their habitats,” Badrul said.
