Bisnisia.id | Banda Aceh – The Central Statistics Agency (BPS) of Aceh Province, in collaboration with the Aceh Natural Forest and Environment Foundation (HAkA), launched the book “Two Decades of Deforestation in Aceh: From Forest Loss to Declining Welfare,” at the BPS Aceh Hall on Tuesday (25/2/2025).

This book reveals the impact of forest loss on the environment and the socio-economic life of the Acehnese people in the period 2003–2023.

The Head of the Aceh Environment and Forestry Agency (DLHK), A. Hanan, emphasized the government’s strong commitment to addressing deforestation. He stated that forest loss in Aceh is not just an environmental issue but also a serious threat to local communities and economies.
