Lintang City and Kuala Simpang Bridge, Aceh Tamiang After the 2025 Great Flood

The massive floods of late November 2025 were devastating in Aceh. They were no ordinary flood; they included not only water but also thick mud and logs. Eighteen districts in Aceh were affected, with Aceh Tamiang being the worst-hit. The bridge connecting Kuala Simpang and the nearby town of Lintang was among those destroyed by the floods. This location is where two major rivers meet, the Simpang Kiri and Simpang Kiri.
