Ecology-Based Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR) Training in Seumanah Jaya, East Aceh

Twenty-five members of the Linut Lestari group and several other community members participated in the Ecological-Based Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR) training. The training aimed to raise community awareness regarding ecologically-based disasters, specifically those affecting nature and wildlife; improve skills and insights into disaster mitigation procedures; and enhance the ability to map ecological disaster threats in the village. Participants were divided into five small groups and successfully sketched maps of areas prone to flooding and elephant conflict, as well as mapping problems and solutions. The training took place from February 8-9, 2026.
