Fest 2025 which brings together young people from diverse backgrounds to strengthen capacity, expand networks, and foster collaboration in environmental protection efforts in Aceh. The presence of AYEC 2025 underscores the vital role of the younger generation as agents of change capable of driving ideas, innovation, and concrete action to support the conservation of forests and biodiversity, particularly within the Leuser Ecosystem Area.

Documentation of the Aceh Youth Environmental Conference Activities – Bu-Moe? 2025

Held on June 26, 2025, this event was attended by 94 participants—comprising 43 men and 51 women—from various organizations, schools, and universities in Aceh, including Sekolah Alam Leuser, Earth Hour Banda Aceh, Kami Sahabat Leuser, Bank Sampah USK, UIN Ar-Raniry, and the Green Youth Movement. AYEC 2025 also featured Davina Veronica and Tezar Pahlevie served as speakers, sharing their experiences, knowledge, and perspectives on wildlife protection, environmental law enforcement, and the importance of youth involvement in conservation efforts.

Throughout the event, participants actively engaged in thematic discussions, experience-sharing sessions, and the drafting of the AYEC 2025 Recommendations Book. …which outlines the ideas, aspirations, and collective demands of the younger generation to strengthen efforts to save forests and wildlife in Aceh. This recommendation document will be followed up through hearings with 25 government agencies and international institutions holding policy-making authority, including the Sumatra Region Law Enforcement Agency and the Aceh Natural Resources Conservation Agency (BKSDA).

Through AYEC 2025, participants not only gained new knowledge and insights regarding environmental issues but also strengthened their shared commitment to actively engaging in the environmental conservation movement in Aceh.
