  • Comments Off on Aceh Student Opinion Competition Final Opens: Marthunis calls for literacy and environmental awareness

Banda Aceh – The Head of the Aceh Education Office, Marthunis, ST., DEA., opened the finals of the Aceh Province High School and Vocational High School Student Opinion Competition, themed “Sustainable Environment,” on Sunday, September 1, 2024, in Banda Aceh.

In his remarks, Marthunis expressed his deep appreciation for the finalists who had successfully made it through the rigorous selection process to the final round.

“The selection process you underwent was systematic and proven effective. Now, you will present your brilliant ideas, which not only hone your writing skills but also train you in systematic thinking and persuasive delivery,” he said.

Marthunis also emphasized the importance of this competition in fostering student literacy and the ability to express ideas verbally. “This competition is not just about writing, but also demonstrates comprehensive literacy skills. I congratulate all of you who have become the best of the best,” he added.

This activity is expected to inspire other students to care more about the environment and actively participate in literacy activities. This competition also reflects the importance of critical and creative thinking in addressing global challenges such as environmental issues, said Marthunis.

The Head of the Organizing Committee, Mukhlis, SE., MM., stated that this competition was made possible thanks to a collaboration between the Aceh Education Office and the Aceh Forestry and Environment Agency (HAkA). From 282 submissions, 10 finalists were selected after a rigorous selection process.

“In this final round, participants will present their opinions before a panel of judges, consisting of academics, journalists, and representatives from the Aceh Education Office and HAkA. The winners will be announced and awarded at the Education Seminar (sports) to commemorate the 65th Aceh Regional Education Day on September 2, 2024, in the Aceh Education Office hall,” said Mukhlis.
