HAkA Foundation works across Aceh Province and focuses on the Leuser Ecosystem (KEL) in Aceh. There are 13 regencies/municipalities with KEL that are seriously assisted to preserve their forests and continue to adhere to sustainable development. The districts are West Aceh, Nagan Raya, Southwest Aceh, South Aceh, Aceh Singkil, Subulussalam, Southeast Aceh, Gayo Lues, Central Aceh, Bener Meriah, North Aceh, East Aceh and Aceh Tamiang.
