SUMMARY

The training on the use and practice of Global Forest Watch (GFW) took place from May 16-17, 2023 at Mahperi Lungi and the Forest Management Unit (FMU) II office in Bener Meriah, with the aim of improving the skills of personnel.

PURPOSE

This activity aims to improve the ability of KPH II forest police personnel to use GFW and Forest Watch (FW). to help facilitate the process of monitoring forest areas in the KPH II working area.

ACCOMPLISHMENTS

Participants understood well the use of GFW and FW to simplify and speed up the process of monitoring forest areas. In addition, participants also had the opportunity to learn about other technologies that can assist in forest monitoring such as drones.

PARTICIPANTS

This activity involved 26 participants.
