Australian Deputy Ambassador to Indonesia, Gita Kamath, emphasized the importance of the contribution of Australian alumni from Aceh in strengthening bilateral diplomatic relations between Indonesia and Australia.

This was conveyed by Kamath on the sidelines of the Australian Alumni Dinner held at the Hermes Hotel, Banda Aceh, Tuesday (8/10/2024) evening, as part of the 75th anniversary of Australia-Indonesia diplomatic relations.

Aceh is home to more than 430 Australian alumni who are now active in various fields, from government, politics, to community empowerment. This number is part of a total of around 200,000 Australian alumni spread across Indonesia.
